About Us
Ikusasa Lethu Youth Project (ILYP) is a registered Non-Profit Organisation established in September 2002 and based in Freedom Park, Devland, Johannesburg. The organisation was founded to address the growing social and economic challenges faced by vulnerable communities, particularly orphaned and vulnerable children, youth-headed households, homeless individuals, elderly persons and disadvantaged families.
For more than two decades, ILYP has implemented community-based programmes focused on social support services, youth empowerment, homelessness interventions and dignity restoration for vulnerable individuals. Through partnerships with government departments, development partners and community stakeholders, the organisation continues to respond to the needs of vulnerable communities across Johannesburg.

Founder & Executive Director
Mr. Joey Monane is the Founder and Executive Director of Ikusasa Lethu Youth Project. With over 20 years of experience in community development, he has dedicated his career to serving vulnerable communities and empowering disadvantaged youth. Under his leadership, ILYP has grown to serve over 1,300 beneficiaries across multiple programmes.
